1. Introduction

Welcome to www.ecolifestyle.shop, operated by Eco Lifestyle (“Eco Lifestyle”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using this Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 or older (or legally emancipated or with guardian consent), and you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”). If any clause is unclear, please get in touch with us before proceeding.
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) at any time; changes take effect 24 hours after being posted. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

3. Intellectual Property

Website content—including text, graphics, logos, downloads—is protected under South African and international IP law. You may not copy, distribute, or use materials without prior written consent.

4. Limitation of Liability

Eco Lifestyle is not liable for losses arising from the use of this Site, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct as required by law. You agree to indemnify us against any claim for loss or damage arising from your use of the Site.

5. Terms of Sale

5.1 Product Descriptions

We strive for accuracy in product descriptions, images, and colours. However, we cannot guarantee that your device’s display matches reality. All pricing is in ZAR and is subject to change without notice.

5.2 Orders and Payments

Orders are confirmed only after payment is received and an email confirmation is sent. We accept credit cards, EFT, and bank deposits. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment clears.

5.3 Delivery

We ship via courier within South Africa, typically within 1–5 business days. Delays due to customs, strikes, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances are outside our control.

6. Returns, Exchanges, and Refund Policy

6.1 Final Sale Items

Products purchased on sale or marked “final sale” are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit.

6.2 14-Day Return Policy

Eligible returns must:

Be initiated within 14 days of purchase
Be unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in their original packaging with tags
Include all accessories and documentation

Please contact us at info@eco-lifestyle.co.za to initiate a return request. A 15% fee will be deducted from your store credit to cover return handling, transportation, and labour costs for items that you have changed your mind about. There will be no return fees for defective or damaged goods that are returned within 14 days of purchase.

6.3 Defective Items

Defective products (e.g., faulty zips or locks) reported within 14 days are eligible for store credit or exchange, subject to inspection. Misuse or damage by the user disqualifies eligibility.

6.4 Airline Damage Disclaimer

We are not responsible for luggage damage attributed to airlines or airport handling. Customers must pursue claims through the relevant airline or travel insurer. We recommend wrapping your luggage and keeping it under 23 kg to protect against damage.

6.5 Refund Policy

Eco Lifestyle does not offer cash refunds. Only store credit or exchanges are provided. If your selected replacement is out of stock, we will offer alternatives or store credit for the balance.

6.6 Warranty

We provide no explicit or implied warranties or guarantees. By placing an order, you agree to this policy.

6.7 Partner Platforms

For purchases on third-party sites (Takealot, Amazon, Hyperli, HiFi Corp, Makro, Incredible Connection, OneDayOnly, Bobshop, Leroy Merlin), their terms apply. Eco Lifestyle is not liable for those transactions.

7. Consumer Rights and Data Protection

7.1 EU Rights (GDPR + Consumer Rights

Right to withdraw within 14 days after receiving goods
Right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of personal data
Right to complain to an EU data protection authority
Withdrawal requests made after 14 days will not qualify for return unless the item is defective.

7.2 California (CCPA)

Right to know what data is collected or shared
Right to request deletion of personal data
Right to opt out of data “sales” (none occur)
Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

7.3 South Africa (POPIA & Consumer Protection Act)

Right to access and correct personal data
Right to request deletion or object to processing
Right to cancel orders within seven business days, or up to 14 days for defective goods, subject to T&Cs
Right to complain to the Office of the Information Regulator

8. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes may be resolved informally or through the Western Cape High Court, with jurisdiction in Cape Town. Arbitration or mediation is encouraged as an alternative to litigation.
